well because if everything is so easy, everyone could have gottten back in time just to alter their past. then everyone's life would be perfect in our own eyes and we need not worry about the future because we can always go back and alter the past.
remember Butterfly Effect? altering the past means altering the present/future too.
what i'd love to alter so much is the stupid scam!! argh.
